If you don’t and they break then you risk a broken truck which is much more expensive to replace.
So check and replace your pivot cups regularly.
These black Riedell Powerdyne pivot cups are the original inserts for the original version of the Powerdyne Thrust (nylon) platesand Triton plates.
If you have the newer version PowerdyneThrust plate you will need the 2.0 pivot cups, these ones will not fit.
These pivot cups are a softer rubber.
If you’re unsure if these will fit please ask us.
